Have you checked out the new Ponystep? Here is one of my fav shoots of the season that I worked on with Andreas Larsson, Ondine Azoulay, Halley Brisker. The twins in the image were so sweet and I really couldn’t tell them apart. The shoot was 2 glorious days spent in the sun in the Summer camped out on Andreas’s roof garden which was a bit of urban bliss. I kept the beauty really minimal almost nothing & it was a refreshing way to work and reminded me of my first shoots back in the day working on portraits for The Face, I.D, Dazed & of course Sleazenation. If you get a sec please see the new issue ’ cos its gorgeous & you must support independent magazines.
I am delighted to show you the new Ponystep cover that I worked on with the original Sugarbabes lineup now known as MKS which stands for Mutya Keisha Siobhan. The images are by photographer Catherine Servel this was styled by Joanna Schlenzka hair by Karin Bigler and nails by Adam Slee. I used all Chanel skin care and makeup. I wanted to keep the girls looking minimal and present them in a new and fresh way. I thought that they wouldn’t be up for it especially Mutya, who loves a mega full on lash, brow and everything else but they just told me to do my thing so I did and they loved it. I think the images are iconic and beautiful. It was a treat working with the girls who I adore and had the pleasure of hearing some of their new album which sounds incredible. Make sure you check it out.
"sorry if i sound a bit muffled"
where would you put yours?
I just watched the tv film Liz & Dick. It is horrible but I still watched it. My favourite quote that I read about it is: ’A Cheap Film About Hollywood’s Most Expensive Romance!’ I am convinced that Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton are drowning their sorrows in heaven knowing that their life and relationship was mocked in this trashy way. You know you are going to watch it too.
I can’t help it. I want it, the bottle is great. I want to keep it in my hidden secret shoe box of guilty pleasure beauty products and take it out once in awhile and look at it and stroke her pink hair. I love it & my friend Greg thinks that it looks like a tranny C3PO. This perfume is called Pink Friday after Nicki Minaj’s first album and she says, “Pink Friday is a celebration of my life at this moment; it is a reflection of me as a creator, and an expression of me as a woman from the name, to the outrageous bottle design, to the vibrant colors that create their own song. Pink Friday shows off my personality and style; it’s exciting to express my voice through another dimension that’s my way of composing perfection.” Generally I hate celeb perfume and feel a bit celebrity shmelebrity except for Elizabeth Taylor’s White Diamonds, naturally, but might need to get this. For all those hardcore people out there who don’t even care what it smells like or what’s in it, just click and buy here on ebay.
